Tomorrow Makers 2018-19 Annual Graduating Fashion Show

This is one of their major events where graduating students showcase their collections. These collections are totally done by the students, right from the designing to cutting, stitching and finishing of the garments. This year the students showcased 23 collections. This show dazzled by eminent persons of the fashion and textile industry and from different fields. The jury members were Ayushman Mitra, Tejas Gandhi, Chikky Goenka, Sauresini Maitra, Ishaa Saha and Lipika Mehra. The choreographer for the show was Tina Mukherjee. Fashion is a timeless appeal that captures an  unthinkable desire. The design collections showcased were explorations into ones deepest thoughts and expressions, in sync with the latest trends and styles. Art is categorized as an abstract as well as tangible. Anything satisfies our emotion if that can be seen by our eyes and can touch. Visual forms of art are so popular as they can directly contact with our deep feelings. This year they selected visual art as an inspiration just to make realize the viewers about their creative sensation. They took different textile embellishment processes in the making of garments to show that fashion designer are not only highlighting the dress design point of view but also takes interest on wearer comfort as well as earth care. Textile elements used here were very much environment friendly and possible recycled products were used to reduce carbon foot prints. The show was initiated by John Mantosh (Director) and Susan Mantosh (Director) by felicitating Ayushman Mitra, Tejas Gandhi, Chikky Goenka, Sauresini Maitra, Ishaa Saha and Lipika Mehra. Various sequences were  showcased like Hallucination (Psychedelic Art) by Sneha Majhi, Monalisha Roy, Suparna Das, Rinki Gupta, Reema Srivastava, Archie Dalmia, Ashwani Mishra and Aditi Sharma. Arabesco (Islamic Art) by Pragati Pradhan, Ruchika Periwal, Jyoti Jaiswal, Ankita Gupta and Sayantika Nag. Mudiao (Traditional Folk handicraft of China) by Divya Agarwal, Mandrita Palit, Palak Gupta, Rita Singh, Rohit Sharma, Sampa Bar and Tulika Jana. Kegembiraan (Balinese Art) by Mahima Patodi, Shalu Halder, Md Jishan Mallick, Pooja Shaw, Anindita Chaitali Ghosh and Sunipa Das and many more sequences.
